(Ecns.cn) -- Many people will burn iPhones and iPads made of paper as offerings to their ancestors during this year's Qing Ming Festival, or Tomb Sweeping Day, which falls on next Wednesday, according to the Beijing Morning Post.
"We want our beloved ancestors to also share in the fruits of high-tech development," an unnamed resident was quoted as saying.
Traditionally, Chinese people burn incense and paper money for their deceased loved ones. This year, however, imitation sports cars and fancy digital products are all the rage.
In south China's Guangdong Province, paper iPhones come in black or white and are fully "equipped" with paper earphones and battery chargers.
