The Chinese women's squad entered the semifinals with a 3-0 victory against Poland in the quarterfinals at the World Team Table Tennis Championships on Friday.

Chinese aces Ding Ning, Li Xiaoxia, and Guo Yue overwhelmed their rivals without losing a set. Ding beat Natalia Partyka 11-6, 11-5, 11-3, Li Xiaoxia defeated Katarzyna Grzybowska 11-5, 11-9, 11-8, while Guo Yue beat Li Qian 11-7, 11-3, 11-3.

"We have made good preparations for the Poland match and I think I have played well in the first match," Ding said.

Li Qian said Guo controled the whole match and she could not play in her normal level. But she was still happy because this was the first time Poland entered the quarterfinals.

China will face the winner from the match between Chinese Hong Kong and the Netherlands in Saturday's semifinals.
