(Ecns.cn) -- Beijing opened its first memorial for sea burials in Changqingyuan Cemetery, Chaoyang District, Friday, reported by chinanews.com.
Paying public respect to the deceased is a mainly grey granite structure standing 18 meters high on the banks of a lake. Its appearance, with waves swirling the base and a torch on the crest is simple and noble.
Visits to the memorial are free of charge.
