Man survives subway train smash

A man, who jumped onto a subway track yesterday morning, was knocked down by an approaching train and broke his legs. The crash shut down the inner loop of Subway Line 2 for 30 minutes, said the Beijing Evening News.

Witnesses said the man, in his 40s, leapt off the platform at Changchunjie Station at 7:15 am while a train was pulling in. Many reported seeing "blood everywhere." 

The man was rushed to Xuanwu Hospital in Xicheng district. Operations on the line did not resume until 8 am.
