Father dents infant's skull with phone

A careless father accidentally dropped his cell phone onto the head of his 36-day-old baby on Sunday, causing bleeding in the infant's skull, the Beijing Evening News reported Monday.

The infant, whose sex was not identified in the report, was hit in the fontanelle, an open area on top of the cranium covered by a tough membrane. The injury resulted in convulsions and may require surgery.
