China opens museum on counterspy history

Thursday saw the opening of a museum dedicated to China's national security efforts in Xibaipo, a Hebei province village that was temporary headquarters of the Communist Party of China Central Committee from 1947 to 1948.

The museum features exhibits on the CPC's intelligence activities during the civil war against Kuomintang troops, as well as its counterspy achievements after the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949.
