Tennis star Li Na was the only Chinese to make the latest installment of the Forbes Celebrity 100 list, which was released Wednesday. Li ranked 87 on the annual list.
Li,a newcomer to the list, last year became the first Chinese player to win a Grand Slam event with her victory in the French Open. She also scored big off the court following her triumph, with seven multimillion-dollar endorsement deals including Mercedes and Samsung. There are 17 athletes on the 2012 Celebrity 100 list. Leading the charge is Tiger Woods, who made 12 spot overall.
Forbes compiles its annual Celebrity 100 list by looking at both the pretax income (from May 1, 2011 to May 1, 2012) and fame of the world's biggest and brightest stars.
Jennifer Lopez landed top spot this year, ousting Lady Gaga, who claimed the title in 2011.
