 China's benchmark Shanghai Composite Index on the Shanghai Stock Exchange closed at 2,344.52 points on Friday, down 34.37 points, or 1.44 percent, from the previous close.

A Share Index: 2,455.62 points, down 35.93 points, or 1.44 percent;

B Share Index: 239.78 points, down 4.95 points, or 2.02 percent;

Total Turnover: 78.96 billion yuan (12.53 billion U.S. dollars).
