Man chases subway

A commuter risked electrocution yesterday when he jumped onto the track to catch a missed train at Xierqi Station on Line 13, Beijing Subway said.

Staff on a train pulling in from the other direction persuaded the runner to board their train. One of the rails on the subway track carries a very high voltage.

"Will passengers please not try to catch a train this way," said a statement by the subway company, "your life is worth more than your time."
