The latest census puts the average life expectancy of Beijingers at a new record of 81.12 years in 2011, 0.31 years longer than the year before, Beijing Health Bureau announced Tuesday.
The result is based on information sourced for a bureau report on the health status of residents with a Beijing hukou. The city also saw a decrease in maternal death rate to 9.09 out of 100,000 women, a 25.1 percent drop over 2010.
