Fledglings of raptors experience a high injury season in June and July, when they start flying, Beijing avian experts said yesterday.
The young birds are more prone to breaking their wings on twigs or power lines in the city than the adults, the Legal Mirror quoted bird rehabilitator Tang Guoliang of Beijing Raptor Rescue Center as saying.
The center admitted seven young birds found by residents on Tuesday. Four of the birds were identified as common kestrels.
