Senior Chinese leader Li Changchun urged on Thursday to produce more excellent art programs for children so as to enrich their childhood life.
Li, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, made the remarks when attending a gala celebrating the International Children's Day (June 1).
Li extended greetings to children across China while watching with children the gala performances featuring children chorus, cartoon cosplay, magic show and acrobatics.
Li said the performances are impressive, urging that more excellent programs should be produced for children for their happy, healthy growth.
