Tiger Woods fell to the third in the list of the 100 highest-paid athletes released by Forbes magazine on Monday, trailing boxers Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao.
The golf great, who had topped the Forbes list since 2001, made 59.4 million U.S. dollars last year, 16 million less from the previous year and by half since his peak in 2009.
Woods, a 14-time major champion, had to start late his season in 2010 after a sex scandal in 2009 before he suffered injuries in 2011.
China's tennis star Li Na, alongside with Russia's Maria Sharapova, was one of the only two women having cracked the list.
Sharapova was the 26th at 27.9 million dollars, and Li was the 81st overall at 18.4 million dollars.
Mayweather, earning 85 million dollars off two fights last year, top the list, while Pacquiao was second on the list with 62 million dollars from earnings and endorsements.
