Since its debut during the summer of 2009, China's production of the stage play "Jane Eyre" has sold out every single performance. Three years later, the show is revisiting Beijing's National Center for the Performing Arts, to the delight of the myriad Chinese fans hoping to catch a glimpse this time around.

Jane Eyre, a name that resonates in the hearts and minds of countless women young and old. It's a love story that overcomes all obstacles of time and social class.

The Chinese production of Charlotte Bronte's much adored classic has won over audiences across the country in all 60 showings.

The play is acclaimed for its delivery of the authentic flavor of the novel, which tells of the byronic master of Thornfield Hall, Rochester, falling in love with the governess of his adopted daughter.

Yuan Quan, praised for her portrayal of Jane Eyre, says she feels a strong connection to the role. This time she returns to the stage after becoming a mother, and she says Jane's character always gives her strength both on stage and off.

Yuan said, "I'm as devoted to the role as ever. It's my most adoring role. It accompanies my growing up. Even after I got married and gave birth to my child, I can still find nourishment from the role spiritually. Just like I have gained some positive energy. If a play can give one actor that feeling, it must contain strength from faith alone."

Hailed as the 'first Chinese on Broadway' for his lead role in Miss Saigon, Wang Luoyong is cast as the impetuous male lead Rochester. He says the most interesting part of playing the role is the range of Rochester's character.

Characters Jane Eyre and Rochester will take audiences through a thrilling emotional journey at the NCPA through Sunday.
