Changchun Yatai saw its winning streak in the Chinese Super League snapped on Sunday when it was held 1-1 at home by Tianjin Teda.
Before the match, Yatai was ranked fifth among the 18 CSL teams following three successive wins.
Cao Tianbao opened the scoring for the home side in the 47th minute, but Romanian defender Lucian Goian netted a rebound off Chen Tao's freekick to equalize for Teda.
Yatai will host Dalian Shide on July 7 in the 16th round of the CSL.
