China's police chief Meng Jianzhu on Tuesday met with Israeli Minister of Public Security Yitzhak Aharonovitch, pledging further cooperation to combat cross-broader crimes.
Meng, also state councilor, said China and Israel have enjoyed increasingly closer cooperation since the public security departments of the two countries started cooperation in 1993.
He said China hopes to enhance cooperation with Israel on investigating cases, cracking down on cross-border crimes and upgrading the cooperation level regarding the two countries' law enforcement and public security.
Aharonovitch said Israeli Ministry of Public Security is willing to work with the Chinese side to promote the two countries' law enforcement cooperation in a pragmatic way.
