Catherine Ashton, EU high representative for foreign affairs and the European Commission's vice president, is to visit China and attend the third round of China-EU high-level strategic dialogue from July 8 to 10, it was revealed on Thursday.
She has been invited by Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo, who will also attend the high-level talks, according to an announcement by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Weimin.
The two sides will exchange views on the current global situation, China-EU relations, and regional issues of common concern, Liu said at a regular press conference, expressing belief that the talks will further cement mutual understanding and trust.
