At least nine people have been confirmed dead and four others remained missing in flooding disasters after Typhoon Damrey tore through northeast China's Liaoning Province during the weekend, according to the provincial flood control authority Monday morning.
The flood control headquarters said it is still checking casualty reports from flood-hit areas.
The typhoon also temporarily disrupted rail services in the province on Saturday, and left more than 2 million people affected.
