The 26th Macao International Music Festival will be held from October 5 to November 7 this year, and a full-scale Broadway production of the acclaimed hit show "Peter Pan" will be the opening program, organizers have announced.
Led by Tony Award nominee Cathy Rigby, the Broadway musical will bring the audience timeless magical moments in the opening night.
This year's festival embraces grand opera, music theater, symphonic, choral and chamber music and performances in the contemporary, folk, pop, fusion and jazz genres.
A total of 23 high-quality programs will be performed by leading troupes and superstars from Germany, Austria, Portugal, Italy, Russia and the United States.
The festival will be accompanied by workshops and conferences with the aim of stimulating public interest in the arts.
