Six people died and 32 others were injured in a five-vehicle pileup that occurred on an expressway in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region early Friday morning, local police said.
The pileup happened at 2 a.m., when three passenger buses rear-ended a car and a trailer-truck on a section of the Nanning-Wuzhou Expressway in the city of Wuzhou, according to the city's public security bureau.
The injured have been taken to a local hospital. The extent of their injuries is not yet known, the bureau said.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
