A woman in her 60s was allegedly killed in a gas cylinder explosion as she was making hydrogen to fill balloons near her home in Beihuqu village in Chaoyang district Sunday, the Beijing Times reported Monday.
The woman made a living from selling balloons at a nearby park, and tried to make hydrogen herself to save money. Her husband, who was also at home when the explosion occurred, was fine.
