A Spring Airlines flight from Shanghai to Hong Kong was forced to make an emergency landing at Pudong International Airport on Saturday noon after colliding with a bird soon after it took off.
Officials with Spring Airlines confirmed the plane returned to the airport at 11:26 am, just minutes into the trip, relying on only one engine.
They said the aircraft landed safely. None of the 173 passengers on board was hurt and all of them were moved to another plane after a four-hour delay.
