10 killed in Chongqing vehicle crash

At least 10 people have been killed after a truck and a van crashed into each other in a suburb of southwest China metropolis of Chongqing on Monday.

An official from the local traffic police department said about 13 people were believed to be inside the two vehicles when the incident happened around noon at a bend in a road that links the districts of Hechuan and Beibei.

So far, 10 people have been confirmed dead. The rest are believed to have been injured and are receiving medical treatment but their condition is unknown.
