He Yide, a 4-year-old boy and son of "Eagle Dad", may become the world's youngest sailing competitor when he participates in the Qingdao International Sailing Week.

His father, He Liesheng, who calls himself "Eagle Dad", caused controversy in China after uploading a video of his son running almost naked in -13 C during a blizzard over the Spring Festival holiday in New York.

The father claims his son is able to manipulate a sailboat after learning for six months, and attributes the child's progress to his rigorous form of parenting.

He also said pictures and videos of the boy will be recorded during the 16 day long sailing competition, which is currently taking place, to send to the Guinness World Records for verification.

He Yide was diagnosed with cerebral palsy when he was born as a premature baby. In an attempt to improve the child's health, his father created a strict training schedule and rigorously adhered to it.
