Guangzhou's salary ranks first in 26 cities

Non-private sector workers in Guangzhouenjoy the highest salaries among 26 provincial capitals and municipalities across China, according to data released by the local statistics bureau.

Guangzhouleads the list with a 57,473 yuan ($9,052) annual salary, while Beijingranked second with an annual salary of 56,061 yuan. Nanjingranked third with an annual salary of 54,713 yuan.

In 2011, the national average salary for non-private sector workers was 42,452 yuan.
