Liu Yunshan, a senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC), met with foreign delegates from the Forum on China-Africa Media Cooperation on Friday.
Liu Yunshan, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, secretariat of the CPC Central Committee and head of the CPC Central Committee's Publicity Department, said the forum is an important channel for strengthening media cooperation between China and Africa, adding that the declaration of the forum is of great significance in guiding the future of their cooperation.
He said China and Africa have achieved considerable results over the recent years under the principle of political equity and mutual trust.
"China will share its development experience with African countries and provide help regarding personnel and technology within its capabilities," he said.
"China hopes the two sides will use the forum to enhance coordination, expand media cooperation and make contributions to the China-Africa relations," he added.
Representatives from the forum commended the results of the forum and said media cooperation will play an important and positive role in promoting China-Africa relations.
