A 12-year-old girl committed suicide Monday after her parents slapped her for stealing, reported the Beijing Times.
The child jumped out of her home in Daxing district when her parents were away. Her parents said earlier that day the father had slapped the daughter after they found she had stolen 1,000 yuan ($158).
