Chinese President Hu Jintao has appointed six new ambassadors to foreign countries, according to a statement from the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) Thursday.
Hu made the appointments in line with decisions made by the Standing Committee of the NPC, China's top legislature.
Zhao Bin was appointed ambassador to Austria, replacing Shi Mingde.
Shi Mingde was appointed ambassador to Germany, replacing Wu Hongbo.
Xie Bohua was appointed ambassador to Vanuatu, replacing Cheng Shuping.
Wo Ruidi was appointed ambassador to Cameroon, replacing Xue Jinwei.
Xu Jian was appointed ambassador to Poland, replacing Sun Yuxi.
Shi Hu was appointed ambassador to Niger, replacing Xia Huang.
