SW China mudslide leaves 10 dead, 14 missing

Ten people have been confirmed dead and 14 others missing after a mudslide struck a hydropower station in southwest China's Sichuan Province, local authorities said Friday.

The mudslide hit the Jinping hydropower station in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture from late Wednesday night to early Thursday morning, sources with the provincial emergency response office said.

Rescue work has been underway.
