Five villagers were washed away by a mudslide and remained unaccounted for on Sunday in southwest China's Yunnan province, local authorities said.
Officials from Yunnan's department of civil affairs said a mudslide struck a group of eight villagers who were returning home from a mountain in Baliu Township of Mojiang Hani Autonomous County at 5:30 p.m..
The county had experienced a heavy downpour before the accident, officials said.
