Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao on Sunday met with Former Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair respectively.
During the meeting with Balkenende, Wen said China is willing to further advance the bilateral ties with the Netherlands based on mutual respect, equality and reciprocity.
During the meeting with Blair, Wen said he hopes the former British leader will try to encourage the British side to know more about China, which is conducive to the development of the bilateral ties between China and the United Kingdom.
Earlier on Sunday, the two former leaders attended the opening ceremony of the second China-Euroasia Expo held Sunday in Urumqi, capital of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The Expo is slated to be held from Sunday to Friday.
