5.7-magnitude quake hits SW China

An earthquake measuring 5.7 jolted the border area of southwest China's Yiliang county of Yunnan Province and Weining county of Guizhou Province at 11:19 a.m. Friday Beijing Time, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter, with a depth of about 14 km, was at 27.5 degrees north latitude and 104.0 degrees east longitude.
