Chinese hip-hop group IN3 drops beats at Mao Livehouse this Friday night in the final performance of their "Floating Tones" project. The project, launched under the mission of popularizing and promoting independent music and live shows, has invited many musicians to deliver performances and won national acclaim. Join IN3 as they perform their familiar hits such as "No money, no friend" and "Beijing Evening News" along with a host of new songs.

Life Week-UCCA Cultural Festival @ UCCA

Launched by Chinese magazine Life Week, the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art (UCCA) Cultural Festival opens this weekend. More than 20 lectures covering topics in the fields of literature, music and history by many distinguished guests including Bao Dong, Boris Groys and Bai Yunpeng will be given over the course of the weekend-long festival. Three films will also be screened and a 10-hour music live show will be staged.

24-Hour Party People @ Mako Livehouse

British documentary 24-Hour Party People (2002), which details the experiences of legendary UK rock promoter Tony Wilson, will be screened at Mako Livehouse this Friday night. The documentary focuses on Manchester Factory, a renowned record label that was established in the late-1970s by Wilson and his friends Alan Erasmus, Peter Saville and Martin Hannett. It became known between 1976 until 1992 as the home of famous music groups including Joy Division, New Order and Happy Mondays and for pioneering Britain's independent pop culture.
