Gas blast at restaurant

Three employees were injured in a fire in a restaurant in Xicheng district Tuesday night, and the cause is under investigation, the Beijing Evening News reported.

A witness said he heard a loud blasting noise, which blew away the chairs and also broke the windows in the restaurant at 7 pm. Several clients ran out of it shortly afterward.

Firefighters found a gas bottle caught fire, and later discovered another gas bottle was leaking. The fire was extinguished 30 minutes later.
