Huang Xianyao, a member of the standing committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Guangdong Provincial Committee, attended the 10th National Congress of the Mozambique Liberation Front on Sunday and Monday.
Huang delivered a speech of congratulation at the party congress on behalf of the CPC, saying the successful opening of the 10th National Congress of the Mozambique Liberation Front came at a turning point for Mozambique, laying a solid foundation for the self-improvement of the Mozambique Liberation Front and the country's economic and social development.
Having long cooperated with the Mozambique Liberation Front, the CPC is willing to further bilateral relations with the party, Huang added.
Huang gave the speech of congratulation to the party chairperson, Armando Guebuza, who is also the president of Mozambique, and conveyed greetings from Chinese President Hu Jintao.
Guebuza expressed gratitude for the CPC for sending representatives to the convention and asked Huang to convey his cordial greetings to President Hu and other CPC officials.
Guebuza also wished the Chinese people a brighter future under the leadership of the CPC.
The CPC delegation headed by Huang arrived Sunday in the northern city of Cabo Delgado for the five-day party congress.
