Construction worker dies

A worker died accidently at a residential construction site in Yangpu district Wednesday morning.

The 55-year-old Sichuan Province native was found lying at the bottom of an elevator shaft with a head wound and later succumbed to his injuries after he was rushed to the hospital. The man was in charge of cleaning construction waste at the site. It's suspected that he was hit by a falling object. The accident remains under investigation.
