Sr. Chinese leader attends concert to mark National Day

Senior Chinese leader Li Changchun attended a concert on Saturday marking the 63rd anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

Li, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, attended the concert titled "Zan Mei Zu Guo," or "Glorifying the Motherland," at the National Center for the Performing Arts.

The artists expressed their praise and prayers to the motherland via choruses, solo performances and female duets.

Their performances also showed the people's firm faith in the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation under the leadership of the CPC.

People of different walks of life in Beijing joined Li in enjoying the concert.
