Safety checks have cleared one of the two Air China flights that were subject to threatening telephone calls before takeoff on Tuesday, the country's flagship carrier told Xinhua.
No dangerous items were found on flight CA4111, from Lhasa to Beijing via Chengdu, Air China said. It added the flight would soon take off from Lhasa.
The other flight, CA1578, flying from Nanchang to Beijing, was still going through a safety inspection. The flight was scheduled to take off at 6:05 p.m..
Both flights were subject to the threatening calls from unidentified sources, said Ding Yue, Air China spokesman.
