6 buried in tunnel collapse in S China

Six were buried as an expressway tunnel under construction collapsed early Wednesday in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, safety watchdog said.

The accident happened around 4 a.m. at the section of Najia Township, Debao County, along the expressway between Baise City to Jingxi County, which was under construction, said a spokesman of the region's work safety supervision bureau.

Rescue work is under way and the cause of the accident is being investigated.
