China's legislature will deliberate a draft decision to amend the country's prison law during a bimonthly session scheduled for next week.
The National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee will convene a session on Oct. 23 to 26 in Beijing, according to a decision made at Monday's meeting of the chairman and vice chairpersons of the NPC Standing Committee. The meeting was presided over by NPC Standing Committee Chairman Wu Bangguo.
As well as discussing amendments to the prison law next week, other draft bills will also be deliberated.
