Fifteen people were injured on Wednesday after a bus they had boarded was struck by a cargo-hauling train in Qingdao, East China's Shandong Province, local authorities said.

The crash occurred at a railway-road intersection in the city around 2 pm, local officials said. One person's fingers were broken while the others suffered minor injuries, they added.

Authorities are still probing the cause. Traffic at the crash site has returned to normal.
