A 4.6-magnitude earthquake jolted Turpan of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in northwest China at 12:09 p.m. Sunday Beijing Time, the China Earthquake Networks Center said.
The epicenter, with a depth of five km, was determined to be at 43.4degrees north latitude and 89.3 degrees east longitude, the center said.
