New high-ranking PLA officers appointed

China's People's Liberation Army (PLA) has recently appointed several new high-ranking officers, according to the Ministry of National Defense website's report on Oct. 25.

The newly appointed military officers include General Fang Fenghui, Chief of the Headquarters of the General Staff of the PLA; Lieutenant General Wang Guanzhong, Vice Chief of the Headquarters of the General Staff of the PLA; Lieutenant General Qi Jianguo, Vice Chief of the Headquarters of the General Staff of the PLA; General Zhang Yang, Director of the General Political Department of the PLA; General Du Jincai, Secretary of the Commission for Inspecting Discipline of the PLA; Lieutenant General Yin Fanglong, Vice Director of the General Political Department of the PLA; General Zhao Keshi, Director of the General Logistics Department of the PLA; and General Zhang Youxia, Director of the General Armament Department of the PLA.
