Chinese political advisor meets guests from Italy, Myanmar

Sun Jiazheng, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, has pledged to boost cooperation with both Italy and Myanmar.

On Tuesday, Sun met with Edmondo Cirielli, a leading member of the People of Freedom party. The two sides hailed the bilateral relationship and pledged to enhance cooperation between the two parties as well as the two nations. Cirielli is also chairman of the Defense Committee of the Italian Chamber of Deputies.

When meeting Myanmar's Presidential Adviser Ko Ko Hlaing, the two sides pledged to boost people-to-people exchanges and cooperation to advance bilateral ties in a sustained way.

Ko Ko Hlaing was visiting China as head of a delegation of think tanks and non-governmental organizations.
