Delegates at the 18th CPC National Congress have held group discussions. The first group meeting was open to domestic and foreign media.

It included delegates from Heilongjiang, Shaanxi and Gansu Province, Chongqing Municipality and Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region as well as from the state finance sector. They discussed the remarkable achievements China has made over the past five years.

After their discussion, the delegates answered questions raised by the media related to marketing and medical reforms.

Yang Baofeng, 18th CPC National Congress delegate, said, "A decade ago, there were few Chinese giving speeches or presiding over international conventions. China's international voice and prestige has been greatly improved, as many research findings have been achieved by Chinese in the past five years. I think our Communist Party is great because we adhere to and develop Socialism with Chinese Characteristics."

Ma Zhengqi, 18th CPC National Congress delegate, said, "The high-level hospitals in our city need to be increased to more than 34, doubling the number of current hospitals. Meanwhile, we put in place measures requiring that all clinics and health centers in towns and counties meet the standards."
