Guizhou has never won a CFA cup while Guangzhou were hoping to become the third team in the Chinese Super League to win the league and Cup double.
The glittering CFA Cup was on show as the players made their way onto the pitch. Guangzhou's Zhang Linpeng couldn't help but have a quick feel and as the match unfolded, it seemed the 23-year-old may have the winning touch.
In the first minute, Zhang Linpeng provides a great pass to Lucas Barrios who scored with a overhead kick! the Paraguan international was putting on a show and this was the quickest goal ever in FA Cup history!
Guizhou fought back but suffered another blow in the 44th minute. A long pass from Sun Xiang left the Guizhou defence in chaos and Zhang Linpeng's header doubles Guangzhou's lead!
With a goal and some fine team play in the first half, Zhang earned himself a standing ovation from the fans as well as Guangzhou manager.

However, Guangzhou came back only 13 minutes later and it's Zhang Linpeng again. He provided another perfect pass to Barrios who slotted home his second goal of the mactch. It's Guangzhou 3-1.
In injury time, Dario Conca seals the victory for Guangzhou in a counter attack. Rao Weihui nailed a face-saver for the visitors but it's too late. 4-2 was the final score and Guangzhou beat Guizhou 5-3 on aggregate to lift their second tropy of the season.
Zhang Linpeng, Defender of Guangzhou Evergrande, said, "I feel very excited. This is my first FA Cup finals. I scored and helped my team win the title. I am very happy. The goal is very important for me, but I don't think it's my best goal. My best is still to come."
Sun Jihai, Midfielder of Guizhou Renhe, said, "The final score is 4-2, but our opponents didn't win easily. We had a chance when we struck back and made it 2-1. If we tied the score, we could have made it more difficult for Guangzhou."
