Chinese Ambassador to Amman Yue Xiaoyong on Wednesday voiced China's concern over the large-scale Israeli air raids against Gaza Strip.

In a press conference on Wednesday, the Chinese ambassador said the killing of the civilians is unacceptable and that the misuse of force is rejected regardless of the pretext.

"China has made its position clear in this regard. China urges the involved parties to meet the call by the international community and immediately stop the military operations," said the ambassador on Wednesday.

He added that the confrontation in Gaza Strip underlines the need for immediately resuming peace talks to resolve the Palestinian issue, stressing that the international community should not ignore the Palestinian issue.

The Chinese ambassador said China will continue cooperation and efforts with international and regional players including the Arab states to resolve the Palestinian conflict.

On Syria, he said China rejects external military interference in the country, stressing that China rejects changing the regime by force.

He also called for an immediate halt of violence, stressing the need for a political solution to the Syrian crisis.

During the meeting with the press, the ambassador voiced China' s keenness to boost ties with Jordan, saying trade exchange between the two countries is expected to reach 3 billion U.S. dollars.
