Six people remained missing on Monday, almost a day after the car they were travelling in plunged into a reservoir in northwest China's Gansu Province, the local government said.
The Volkswagen Santana sedan plunged over 20 meters from the road into the Xiangtangxia Reservoir at around 8 p.m. Sunday night in Honggu District in Lanzhou, provincial capital of Gansu, according to a news update from the Honggu District government.
Rescuers are searching for the missing in the water at the reservoir, it said.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is still underway.
