Two child traffickers have been sentenced to death, suspended for two years, in Ya'an, Sichuan province.
The city's intermediate people's court said Cai Lianchao and Chen Hongfen, along with four others, sold 14 children to buyers in Shandong, Fujian and Henan provinces between July 2010 and May 2011.
Boys were sold for 30,000 to 40,000 yuan ($4,819 to $6,425), while girls cost 10,000 to 20,000 yuan, Xinhua News Agency reported on Monday.
Police caught three of the defendants on May 5, 2011, as they planned to sell three children in Shandong.
The four other defendants were sentenced to prison terms ranging from three to 15 years.
