Nature Publishing Group, the publisher of Nature, one of the world's most influential science journals, said Wednesday that it has moved two full-time editors to Shanghai.
The publisher will expand its Shanghai team over the coming months to keep up with the growing influence of Chinese scientists.
The Nature Publishing Index, which tracks research published in Nature journals, showed that the number of influential articles written by Chinese researchers increased from 127 in 2001 to 1,158 in 2011.
